COLLIS HILL in Kals am Großglockner does not only offer you hotel rooms in our guesthouse but also the chance to stay at one of our Tichas. "Ticha?", you might ask. Yes, Ticha! The form of these triangular wooden homes was inspired by Native American tipis and the towering mountain peaks and tree tops that surround COLLIS HILL.

The COLLIS HILL Mountain Resort is surrounded by extensive forests at the foot of the Großglockner. Our Tichas were built according to old principles of wooden construction. Wood is one of the oldest building materials known to mankind. The natural material wood is also always present inside the Tichas: It ensures a pleasant room climate, a unique smell and a good feeling of security.

Fire, water, air and earth. This is what we are, this is what we are made of. Fire gives us warmth, air our breath, water is blood and from earth we get our body.

Quiet sleep

It sounds so easy: we lie down, close our eyes and sleep. Yet, for many of us falling asleep and calming down has become a real challenge. At COLLIS HILL we attach great importance to a good quality of sleep. Our rooms and Tichas are therefore equipped with high-quality materials.

COLLIS HILL Mountain Resort is situated in a secluded East Tyrolean Alpine valley, far away from the noise of the cities. There is also no light pollution as the nights in the forests around the Großglockner are really dark. The only light at night are sparkling stars in the sky.

In order to guarantee you an undisturbed sleep, we do without any WIFI between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. We recommend our guests to use this time for some digital detox and consciously turn off their smartphones.
